We support mental health counseling and psychotherapeutic services in San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara Counties.
Service Benefits to County Residents: Mental health is a key component in the overall health and vitality of every family and child: and is often related to success in school, peer groups, relationships and families, and at work. Life skills learned through therapy include managing emotions, developing healthy relationships, and learning to alleviate stress and experience relief from the effects of trauma and family difficulties.
Therapy at CCC promotes educational attentiveness by removing emotional barriers to learning and helps children and adults develop the life skills needed to become productive and active participants in our community. When children, teens, and adults are impacted by depression, anxiety, feelings of loss, and low self-esteem, the effects become evident in their families, schools, work places, and the community. Those who learn how to cope with their emotions function more productively in school and at work, change how they react to their environments, and teach those skills to their own children.
CCC will invest your funds to help in reducing suicide and psychiatric hospitalization; and in addressing the overall stigma of seeking mental health therapy in the community.
CCC will invest your funds in helping to remove barriers to treatment experienced by those living in poverty. Together, we can create a mentally well community on the Central Coast.
